What are alpha-hydroxy acids?  

Alpha-hydroxy acids come from natural or synthetic sources. Glycolic acid is found in fruit and lactic acid is found in milk or fruit. These two types of AHA are the most widely used in cosmetics: they penetrate well into the skin and are highly effective in "new skin" active ingredients.  

Who should use them?

Skin with imperfections, those who want to regulate sebum production, tighten dilated pores and regain a pretty glow to the skin.

How often?

Depending on your facial treatment plan, an AHA facial peel can be performed every 15 days. A protocol of 4 peels is recommended to optimize and sustain results. 

What is it?

A trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel can be applied in various concentrations. With a maximum dosage of up to 20%, superficial TCA peels and others are more intense, causing desquamation for several days to remove the corneal layer and part of the epidermis.

Who is it for?

Those who want a rejuvenating effect, a boost of radiance, and reduce skin imperfections, such as pigment spots, acne scars, and wrinkles. However, darker skin cannot be treated to avoid pigmentary rebound (hyperpigmentation).

How often?

Depending on the treatment plan, TCA facial peels every 15 days. 4 peelings are recommended to maintain the results.

The doctor establishes a customized treatment plan according to your skin issues and expectations during an aesthetic consultation.

After thoroughly cleansing your skin, the expert applies a protective solution, called a neutraliser, with a cotton swab to the corners of your mouth and the edges of your nose.

Then, the peeling solution is applied, more or less concentrated according to your skin's needs. You may feel a warm sensation.
