What is Vascular Laser?
The IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) laser produces an energy-carrying color light to treat superficial vascular "lines" and brown spots on the face. The wavelengths emitted by the machine are in fact absorbed by red, i.e. hemoglobin, or brown, i.e. melanin.
How does it work?
Blood vessels are destroyed by converting laser light into heat. This stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis to restore skin quality, lighten pigmentation and reduce blood vessel bursts. Upon contact with this light, the blood accumulated in the vessels immediately clogs them through a photo-coagulation effect, making the varicosity disappear. This is the phenomenon of "laser sclerosis", which continues for two to three weeks.
To treat vessels in the lower body (thighs, calves), it is necessary to consult a phlebologist before starting a vascular laser protocol, with the Nd-yag 1064 laser being the preferred choice. Its wavelength transforms photons into heat, gradually eliminating unsightly vessels in just a few sessions.
Very dark to black skins cannot be treated.
The ResurFX Laser and Vascular Laser can be combined to smooth the skin, rid it of skin damage and redness, and lighten pigmentation spots.
The objectives
Make it disappear:
Facial erythrosis
Couperose
Rosacea
Telangiectasia
Spider veins
Angiomas (stellate, wine stain, hemangioma, etc.)
Ruby spots
Unaesthetic superficial vessels
Red or purple stretch marks
Sun spots
The procedure
Step 1:
An aesthetic consultation is required to analyze vascular lesions and other skin damage, and to exclude contraindications.
Step 2:
No anesthesia is required. The vessels are treated with IPL or Nd-yag, depending on the area, following the venous path. In most cases, the vessel fades immediately. Redness and small lumps of crusting may appear in the days following the session. The vessel elimination process lasts approximately 3 weeks after treatment.
Session duration:
15 to 30 minutes depending on the area.
Protocol:
1 to 4 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart, depending on the area and lesions, with 1 to 2 maintenance sessions every 2 years.

frequently asked questions
Is vascular laser treatment painful?
A warming sensation is felt during the session, made comfortable by the machine's cooling system.
What happens after the vascular laser treatment?
Redness appears on the treated areas, and sometimes swelling. Small scabs may appear on the laser impacts, and disappear spontaneously within a few days.
What are the contraindications to vascular laser treatment?
Pregnancy, tanning, active infection, dysplastic nevi, herpes labialis, photosensitizing medication, exposure to the sun or artificial tanning (UV) 4 weeks after the session, black or very dark skin.
Is it possible to treat vessels on the feet?
No, no laser can be used on the foot, and more specifically below the malleolus, as there is a risk of phlebitis.
How many sessions are required?
Red spots can generally be treated in one or two sessions. Pigment spots or brown spots may require two to three sessions. Broken capillaries or red scars may require several sessions.
